Elliott Bay Design Group names new president

Ekse will take over from current President and Chief Engineer Brian King, who is retiring after 33 years of service. King will remain active in EMCDDA projects to a limited extent and will take on the role of client emeritus.

“Brian will be missed very much, but his many achievements will be a reminder of his contributions to our industry, our company and our future,” said John Waterhouse,Founder and Chairman of the Board. “As we look to the future, we are confident that Robert’s appointment will lead us to success as we grow and diversify internally and externally.” SeeSaw Services Ekse is rising from director of project operations to president while remaining director of the company. He will have direct supervision of the business and affairs of The Company, including its subsidiary,

. He will be responsible for the further development of the most important strategic goals of the EBDG and lead the team with planning, management, engineering, personnel development and sales. Vigor With 30 years of experience in the shipping industry, Ekse has a diverse background including previous positions at , Alaska Marine Highway System,, and Alaska Ship and Drydock Crowley Marine Services

. Since joining EBDG, he has led several employee retention initiatives; improved the project management process and participated in strategic planning and growth initiatives.
